# Sonda Terms of Service **Last Updated: February 2026** ## 1. Agreement to Terms By accessing or using the Sonda platform ("Service"), operated by Sonda (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. ## 2. Description of Service Sonda is a digital legacy and estate planning platform that provides: - AI-assisted will drafting tools - Encrypted document storage (Digital Vault) - Beneficiary nomination and management - Marketplace for funeral and estate service providers - Legacy readiness scoring and planning tools **Important:** Sonda is a technology platform. We are not a law firm, financial adviser, or funeral service provider. The AI will drafting tool assists you in creating a will, but we recommend having your will reviewed by a qualified attorney. ## 3. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into contracts under South African law to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements. ## 4. User Accounts You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account. ## 5. Payments and Subscriptions All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR). Payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment service provider. Subscription plans auto-renew monthly unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period. ## 6. Service Provider Marketplace Sonda connects users with independent funeral and estate service providers. Sonda does not employ these providers and is not responsible for the quality of their services. Payments for services booked through the marketplace are held in escrow and released after service completion or the expiry of the dispute period. ## 7. Digital Vault and Document Storage Documents uploaded to the Digital Vault are encrypted. We implement industry-standard security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. You retain full ownership of all content you upload. ## 8. AI Will Drafting The AI will drafting tool is designed to help you create a will that is compliant with the Wills Act 7 of 1953 (South Africa). However, the tool does not constitute legal advice. We strongly recommend having your will reviewed by a qualified legal professional, particularly for complex estates. ## 9. Intellectual Property All Sonda platform content, features, and functionality are owned by Sonda (Pty) Ltd. You retain ownership of your personal content but grant us a limited licence to store and process it for service delivery. ## 10. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Sonda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. ## 11. Termination We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, we will provide you with an opportunity to export your data. ## 12. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. ## 13. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. ## 14.
